    Lifeguarding Renewal - Fall Session

    Renew American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Lifeguard certifications. Age Prerequisite: 15 years of age by the last day of the class Certification Prerequisite: Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification Skill Prerequisites: 300 yd. endurance swim using front crawl and breaststroke Complete a timed skill sequence including a 20 yd. swim, retrieval of a 10 lb. object from 7 ft. deep, swim 20 yd. carrying the object and exit the water within 1 min. and 40 sec. Tread water for 2 min. using legs only Waterfront and Waterpark full modules and renewal modules will be offered for those that successfully complete this course and would like to earn the additional certification to work at a beach or waterpark.     Lifeguarding Waterfront Module - Fall Session

    This module is for currently certified American Red Cross lifeguards that need Waterfront Lifeguarding certification. Age Prerequisite: 15 years of age Certification Prerequisite: Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification Skill Prerequisites: 550 yd. endurance swim using front crawl and breaststroke Complete a timed skill sequence including a 20 yd. swim, retrieval of a 10 lb. object from 7 ft. deep, swim 20 yd. carrying the object and exit the water within 1 min. and 40 sec. Tread water for 2 min. using legs only Swim 10 yd. underwater to retrieve three diving rings
  • Lifeguarding Waterpark and/or Waterfront Module Renewal - Fall Session

    This module is for the renewal of the Waterpark and/or Waterfront certification that can be added to a Lifeguard Renewal course. Age Prerequisite: 15 years of age by the last day of the class Certification Prerequisite: Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding plus Waterpark certifications Skill Prerequisites: Complete a timed skill sequence including a 20 yd. swim, retrieval of a 10 lb. object from 7 ft. deep, swim 20 yd. carrying the object and exit the water within 1 min. and 40 sec. Tread water for 2 min. using legs only Waterpark: 300 yd. endurance swim using front crawl and breaststroke Waterfront: 550 yd. endurance swim using front crawl and breaststroke Waterfront: Swim 10 yd. underwater to retrieve three diving rings
  • Lifeguarding plus Waterpark-Blended or In-Person (ages 15+) - Fall Session

    Become certified in American Red Cross Lifeguarding for pools and waterparks, First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Lifeguard. Attendance at all class sessions is mandatory. October 10/20/22-10/22/22: Is offered in the Blended Learning format which combines online learning with on-site skill sessions for skill practice and assessment. Online completion is required prior to the first day of the course. December 12/26/22-12/29/22: Is a full in person course, no online portion required. Age Prerequisite: 15 years of age by the last day of the class Skill Prerequisites: Prerequisite skills will be evaluated at the beginning of the first day. Those who do not meet the skill requirements will not be allowed to stay for the class and may choose to practice the swimming skills to be able to transfer to another class or cancel with a $25 cancellation fee. 300 yd. endurance swim using front crawl and breaststroke continuously Complete a timed skill sequence including a 20 yd. swim, retrieval of a 10 lb. object from 7 ft. deep, swim 20 yd. carrying the object and exit the water within 1 min. and 40 sec.
