    Bake and Take Your Holiday Cookies

    Oh no! Are all the holiday preparations getting you down?? Don’t fret, Nancy’s team will help you get your baking done in no time at all! Go home with ten dozen cookies in all. In this hands-on class, you will be working in pairs. Cookie dough and everything you need to form, trim, and decorate the cookies will be provided. Your cookies will be baked for you by Nancy’s team in large commercial ovens. Hairnets and gloves will be provided, but bring your own apron if you like. And most important, don’t forget to bring containers to carry home your ten dozen treats. Please arrive on time and plan on staying the full three hours, which includes assisting with clean-up at the end of class. Due to safety restrictions, and out of respect for the adult attendees, no children are allowed in or near the class. If you cannot find child care you may send someone in your place. Please be respectful to others; if you are ill, you may find someone to take your place. Cookies will not be provided for no-shows. Supply fee of $20 payable to instructor. We are sorry, we cannot accommodate nut allergies in this class.

    Chicken Marsala vs Chicken Limone

    Begin with bruschetta topped with fresh mozzarella cheese, skinned roma tomatoes and sweet roasted bell pepper sprinkled with fresh basil and drizzled with olive oil. Prepare Chicken Marsala with fresh sauteed mushrooms in a sweet Marsala butter sauce. See how that measures up against Chicken Limone topped with a chardonnay, lemon, butter sauce with capers. Both entrees are paired with Spaghetti Aglio Olio, tender garden vegetables tossed with olive oil, garlic and Romano cheese. Finish with Diplomatico, a divine combination of rum and espresso soaked pound cake, rich chocolate mousse and fresh whipped cream. Demonstration, hands-on and tasting.

    Prepare chicken cacciatore using fresh chopped garlic, sweet basil, red onion, mushrooms and capers simmered in a delightful marinara sauce. Enjoy beef braciole stuffed with prosciutto ham and parmesan cheese in a savory burgundy sauce. Pair these delicacies with creamy, garlic mashed potatoes, tender green beans tossed in olive oil with lemon and plenty of bruschetta for dipping. For dessert is Crème brulee, a rich, creamy custard with a caramel crust.

    Tired of last-minute preparations in your kitchen, while guests visit at the table? Serve fondue! During the 18th century, the Swiss wanted to utilize their hardened bread and cheese. They melted the cheese and dunked their bread. Fondue is a French word "fonder" meaning to melt. Discover fondues from around the world including traditional cheese, classic Swiss cheese, beef bourguignon, crab, bleu cheese and tempura. Dunk delectable tidbits of fruit, cake or brownies in dessert fondues, flavored with chocolate and butterscotch. A variety of sauces and dips will round out the menu.
