Exit Skills: Enter unassisted, move 5 yd., bob 4 times and exit the water. Front glide 2 yd., roll to back and float 5 sec., recover to vertical. Safety topics: Basic water safety, healthy swimming, safe water entry, helping yourself and others in an emergency, use of lifejackets, safe weather conditions for swimming and waterpark safety.Course format: Classes run 45 minutes with five students per instructor. Front crawl and elementary backstroke, 50 yd. each Back crawl, breaststroke, butterfly and sidestroke, 25 yd. each Exit Skills Assessment Perform a shallow dive into at least 9 ft depth, swim front crawl 50 yd. and elementary backstroke 50 yd. Swim breaststroke 25 yd. and back crawl 25 yd. Safety topics: Basic water safety, healthy swimming, safe water entry, helping yourself and others in an emergency, use of lifejackets, safe weather conditions for swimming and waterpark safety.Course format: Classes run 45 minutes with five students per instructor.
