    Lifeguarding Renewal - Fall Session

    Renew American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Lifeguard certifications. Age Prerequisite: 16 years of age by the last day of the class Certification Prerequisite: Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification Skill Prerequisites: 300 yd. endurance swim using front crawl and breaststroke Complete a timed skill sequence including a 20 yd. swim, retrieval of a 10 lb. object from 7 ft. deep, swim 20 yd. carrying the object and exit the water within 1 min. and 40 sec. Tread water for 2 min. using legs only Waterfront and Waterpark full modules and renewal modules will be offered for those that successfully complete this course and would like to earn the additional certification to work at a beach or waterpark.     Lifeguarding Waterpark and/or Waterfront Module Renewal - Fall Session

    Become certified in American Red Cross Lifeguarding for pools and waterparks, First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Lifeguard. Attendance at all class sessions is mandatory. All courses are full in person courses, no online portion required. Age Prerequisite: 15 years of age by the last day of the class Skill Prerequisites: Prerequisite skills will be evaluated at the beginning of the first day. Those who do not meet the skill requirements will not be allowed to stay for the class and may choose to practice the swimming skills to be able to transfer to another class or cancel with a $25 cancellation fee. Endurance continuous swim: 150 yd. swim, 2 min. treading water using legs only followed by 50 yd. swim. Swimming must be either front crawl, breaststroke or any combination of these two strokes.. Timed skill sequence: 20 yd. swim, retrieval of a 10 lb. object from 7 ft. deep, swim 20 yd. carrying the object and exit the water within 1 min. and 40 sec. A Waterfront Lifeguarding Module will be offered for those that successfully complete this course and would like to earn the additional certification to work at a beach.     Lifeguarding Instructor Review - Fall Session

    Renew your American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification. Abbreviated format for Lifeguarding Renewal (Code: QLGILGR), Waterpark Skills Module (Code: QLGIWP for new certification, QLGIWPR for renewal) and Waterfront Skills Module (Code: QLGIWF for new certification, QLGIWFR for renewal) will be offered after completion of this course.     Lifeguarding Instructor (ages 17+) - Fall Session

    Become certified to teach American Red Cross Lifeguarding. Students that successfully complete the course will be provided the opportunity to become certified in Waterfront Lifeguarding for an additional fee. Attendance at all class sessions is mandatory.     Do you seek employment as a swim instructor aide? This class is for you! CPR and First Aid training are included in the course. Students that complete this course will be qualified to apply for employment at the age of 14.

    Become certified to teach American Red Cross swim lessons. Attendance at all class sessions is mandatory.     Be prepared with lifesaving skills! American Safety and Health Institute CPR/AED certification is valid for two years. This course is equivalent to American Heart Association Heart Saver or American Red Cross CPR for Lay Rescuer.
