  • All Irish Lacrosse Family Night (boys, ages 8-15)

    All youth lacrosse players, ages U8 and up, are invited to participate in our All Irish Night — a special event where they’ll get the chance to play alongside the Rosemount High School lacrosse team. Each youth player will be paired with a high school athlete, providing an opportunity to learn the ins and outs of Rosemount Lacrosse while having fun on the field. Every participant will receive a complimentary t-shirt, and there will be exciting raffle prizes at the end of the night. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable evening of lacrosse, camaraderie, and community spirit!
  • Rosemount Irish Developmental Training Swim Camp (grades 2-8)

    This program consists of six to eight sessions that work on a different skill each session. Each of the skills introduced are used in competitive swimming at the varsity level. Instruction is by the head coach of the Rosemount swim and dive high school team, and in water demonstrations and coaching will be given by varsity athletes from the Rosemount swim team. Choose to attend individual sessions to target a specific skill or sign up for the full eight week session. Receive an Irish swim cap and those that sign up for all eight sessions will receive an Irish swim and dive team t-shirt, as well. Prerequisite: These are not swim lessons. Must be able to swim down the length of a pool on your own and the skills that are taught are for competitive swimming, not recreational swimming. Rates: $50 per individual session 1-6 $200 for the total package. This option is for all 8 sessions, which will give participants an extra practice session and a mini meet (in addition to a t-shirt). Dates and description for each session: ●Session 1 (4/7): Backstroke- This session will focus on backstroke. We start off with body positioning on our back and then move to the flutter kicking on our back. After those skills we will work on the rotation and arm movement. At the end of the session we will put everything together and work on timing from the backstroke flags into the wall ●Session 2 (4/9): Freestyle- This freestyle session will focus on the flutter kick to start with using a kickboard. We then move back to the rotation that is used in freestyle and then adding everything together to complete the stroke ●Session 3 (4/14): Breaststroke- In this breaststroke session, we will start by focusing on the whip kick on land, on our backs and with a board. After the kick we will focus on the arm movement in the water and to finish the session we will work on the timing of the breaststroke. ●Session 4 (4/16): Butterfly- The final session of strokes will work on butterfly. We will start by working on the dolphin kick in the water on our back, side, and stomach. We will then transition to the arm movement and pull of the butterfly stroke and then finish with the timing ●Session 5 (4/21): Turns- In this session we will focus on the competitive turns that swimmers use on the walls. We will start with working on the streamline that is used to push off the wall. We will then transition to the flip turn for freestyle and then add in the flip turn for backstroke, working on timing into the wall. We will finish this session on the open turn which is used for breaststroke and butterfly turns ●Session 6 (4/23): Starts & Finishes- Our final session of this program will focus on the speed. We will be going off of the blocks working on using the wedge that our varsity athletes use and how to dive into the water from the block. We will then work on how to finish a race on all 4 strokes ●Sessions 7 (4/28) & 8 (4/30): These sessions are included for the participants who signed up for the complete package. Session 7 will go through the structure of what a swim practice would look like and give an introduction to a competitive swim practice at the varsity level. Session 8 we will have a mini meet to wrap up the entire program
