The goal of Youth Enrichment is to provide opportunities for youth to pursue their interests, expand their abilities and improve their social skills in an informal, fun and safe environment.
Cahoots
Enjoy a fun, organized environment to play and practice baseball with the high school players and coaching staff. Practice proper throwing mechanics, participate in athletic and baseball specific drills and compete in baseball games. High school coaches and players will provide skill instruction in hitting, throwing and fielding in a team environment. It is a great way to engage in a fun sport for athletes of any skill level, and everyone gets a t-shirt!
Patrick Strey is currently in his 10th year teaching and coaching in District 196. He is a Social Studies Teacher at Eastview High School, and is in his 4th season as the Head Baseball Coach. He led the Lightning to the State Tournament in 2024. He graduated from EVHS in 2012, where he captained the 2012 State Championship Baseball Team as a pitcher and 3rd basemen. Coach Strey has a BA in Social Science Education from Saint John's, an MA in Culturally Responsive Teaching from the University of Saint Mary’s (Minnesota), and is currently working on a second Master’s Degree from the American College of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.
