The goal of Youth Enrichment is to provide opportunities for youth to pursue their interests, expand their abilities and improve their social skills in an informal, fun and safe environment.
Cahoots
Review the home electrical system, application for different types and gauge of wire. Discuss proper techniques for stripping wire, attaching to outlets, switches and light fixtures, as well as test equipment. Install single pole and 3-way switches, outlets and light fixtures to energize a light bulb and test the circuit. Bring straight and Phillips screwdrivers, long nose pliers and wire stripping pliers to class, if you have them. Handouts provided. Hands-on.
Tod has an Industrial Technology background and has been teaching the Basic Home Repair Classes at Community Education since 2010. He enjoys being a mentor to the students, helping them improve their skills and gain confidence so they can make basic home repairs themselves.
