Cahoots
Join us in a unique chance to photograph a variety of small Zoo animals, up-close and personal at the Minnesota Zoo. These ambassador animals live behind the scenes and will make an appearance just for you! After photography instruction and animal highlights, practice stop-action photography on live animals in different environments around the room. An assortment of animal artifacts and light boxes will also be available, so you can experiment with macro and flash photography on still subjects as well- without having to worry about glass, fences, or other barriers. With the help of both a local photographer and Zoo naturalist, you will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions, practice new skills, and learn about the animals you photograph.
Approximate class schedule:
• 2:30- welcome & classroom learning
• 3:15- photography practice
• 5:15- wrap-up
This program will take place entirely in classroom spaces. Nothing but your camera is required, but a flash is recommended, and you may find additional accessories (like a tripod, extra lenses, & filters) useful. This class is best for people who already have a decent understanding of their camera and camera settings.
