Conspire to learn with Hoots the owl, Boots the fox and Walter the elephant! CAHOOTS is an eight-week summer math and language arts correspondence program created by Saint Paul Public School staff designed to help students in grades K-5 reduce summer learning loss with an engaging, reflective approach to learning. Students will complete one lesson per week. You and your child will check answers online, and then students will complete and mail a postcard to a Reflection Buddy who will send them a postcard response each week. Reflection postcards are designed to give students a chance to apply their skills through open-ended questions. Students and Reflection Buddies will look forward to the weekly correspondence! CAHOOTS should not be considered as a replacement for participating in summer school if a child qualifies, and is not intended to replace regular reading for enjoyment or math activities that strengthen a child’s fluency and love for math. Students who complete all weekly correspondence will receive an award at the end of summer.
