Horsemanship Summer Camp (ages 6-15)
Experience your love for horses! Each day includes riding ... rain or shine. Discover the basics of grooming, saddling, body language, posture, contact and balance to develop independent riding skills. Horses are assigned according to each rider's ability. Bring a nut-free lunch and snack each day. Indoor and outdoor arena and fantastic trails are available. Clothing: Wear long pants and low-heeled boots or laced shoes. Equestrian helmets are required. Bring your own, or one will be provided. Do-At-Home Art Kits by Yourself or With Your Friends-June (grades K-5)
Get creative by yourself or have a party with a group of friends. Learn a new skill and create masterpieces of art in your own house or schedule an online party with your friends with do-it-at-home kits! Each kit contains two projects that will include an easy to follow lesson plan, a link to an online instructional video taught by a Kidcreate Studio art teacher, art materials and additional suggestions for online learning that relate to the art lesson. Order one, three or five kits for your friends or encourage them to purchase their own! Registration deadline June 2. Art kit can be picked up, Tuesday, June 7, 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. or Wednesday, June 8, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. at The District Office East, 15180 Canada Ave, Rosemount Online instruction available 24/7. Skyhawks Basketball (ages 6-12)
Using progressional curriculum, learn respect, teamwork and responsibility. An active week of passing, shooting, dribbling and rebounding will make this a fun week for beginning to intermediate players. -
Skyhawks Soccer (ages 6-12)
Develop the fundamental skills needed in the world's most popular sport. Using progressional curriculum, gain the technical skills and sport knowledge required for that next step in soccer. Designed for beginner and intermediate players, this camp focuses on dribbling, passing, shooting and ball control. -
Skyhawks Track and Field (ages 6-12)
Combine technical development, fundamental techniques and fun while learning many Olympic-style events. Exercises and drills prepare athletes for a future in cross-country, track and field events and distance running, while inspiring a lifelong love for being active. Fundamentals of body positioning, stride, proper stretching and cool-down techniques are included. Showcase your skills at a Skyhawks track meet. -
Beginner Baton (ages 4-6)

Typically, these golfers do not hit a 7 iron 25 yards in the air in three out of five attempts, do not sink three out of five putts from two feet, do not two-putt three out of five times from ten feet, and do not break 72 for a 9 hole “par 3” short golf course. Typically these golfers can two-putt three out of five times from 20 feet, chip three out of five times to within six feet from ten feet off the green, can hit pitch shots on the green three out of five times from 20 yards off the green and can hit a 7 iron 50 yards in the air in three out of five attempts. -

Emerald Greens Golf Camp for Beginners and Intermediates (ages 5-14)
Learn the game of golf. Develop and refine your skills in a small group setting. Rotate through various stations learning the fundamentals of grip, stance, posture, full swing, putting, chipping and pitching. Learn etiquette, strategy and efficiency. Intermediate golfers will also be doing bunkers, practicing skills learned in beginner camp and going out on the course. Students are grouped by age, ability level and friends for maximum comfort. All sessions run Monday through Thursday, with Friday as a rainout make-up day. Appropriately sized clubs are available for use free-of-charge. Fee includes t-shirt and bag tag. Must have completed kindergarten to participate. Course sections marked with a * have both beginner and intermediate sessions available. Select your golf level during registration. -
Intermediate and Advanced Summer Golf Academy (ages 6-14)
Refine your golf skills as you work on full swing I, II, and III, putting, chipping, pitching and shot trajectory. Play golf with one of our staff during each lesson on one of the regulation courses. Learn terminology, safety, etiquette, course management and rules. Discover information regarding scholarships, competitive greatness and game analysis. Open to all experienced junior golfers, but designed with the avid golfer in mind. . Fee includes: lessons, video analysis of full swing, pre/post summer game analysis, an embroidered Titleist hat, use of all equipment, golf t-shirt, bag tag and playing privileges during each lesson. -

Drama Lab (grades 1-5)
Exercise your dramatic talents! Use drama as a tool to develop your skills to stand out as a leader among your peers. Burst with laughter while improving your social skills, listening, problem solving and focus. Explore your acting skills in a variety of ways including: improvisation, short scenes, monologue, character development, theatre games and more! -
Intro to Ballet and Jazz (ages 5-7)
Explore basic skills and terminology in ballet and jazz. Develop coordination, musicality and rhythm. Learn body awareness to improve posture, strength and flexibility. Gain poise and confidence while appreciating the art of dance. Wear dance attire or comfortable clothing. Ballet or jazz shoes are required. -
Apple Valley High School Instrumental Music Lessons (grades 9-12)
Individual lessons are a great way to further growth and development as an individual musician. Instruction is catered to the specific needs and desires of the individual student. Materials from school lessons are typically used for these summer lessons but may be supplemented by the instructor. These lessons are an ideal way for incoming 9th grade students to get to know the AVHS band directors prior to the start of school and a great way for 10th-12th grade students to continue advancing their skills. All lessons will be held in-person at Apple Valley High School. A make-up lesson at an alternate time can be arranged with the instructor if a conflict (family vacations, etc.) occurs with scheduling of the lessons. Financial discounts are available if your family is currently enrolled in the free/reduced lunch program. Students who play flute, oboe, bassoon, saxophone, trombone, euphonium, or tuba should register with Mr. Scalise. Students who play clarinet, trumpet, french horn, or percussion should register with Mr. Desens.
