District 196 Community Education

Calling all percussionists! This week-long camp is open to all percussionists in grades 6-8 for the 2025-2026 school year. 

• Focus on learning the skills from beginning to advanced levels in snare drum, xylophone/bells/marimba, note reading, timpani, and drumset. 
• Build, workout, and flex your percussion muscles (“chops”) by playing exciting music together each day in all areas of percussion. 
• Learn some FUN percussion ensemble songs to play together for families in an informal performance at the end of the week. Come drum with us!
