Hit the Lights Summer Theatre Camp: Lightning Theatre Apprentices (grades 6-9)
High School Theater

Develop the skills necessary to be successful in a high school theatre program. Explore lessons in acting, singing, technical theatre and dance. Learn skills in character development, script analysis, improvisation, vocal development for the stage, line memorization techniques, scenic lighting, audio technology, dancing and more! Work closely with the directors of Eastview High School's theatre department, and have fun developing the skills to excel in a theatrical setting. Save $20 and register by May 24th. Registrations received after May 24th will not be guaranteed a t-shirt.

Storybook Theatre-Goldilocks (ages 6-18)

Join Storybook Theatre to present their original version of Goldilocks. Auditions will be held for registered students Monday, July 29 (no scripts or advanced preparation needed). Come excited and enthusiastic! Parts are available for all age groups. Practice will be held daily from 10:00 a.m-2:15 p.m. Must be present for all practices and performances. Free public performance will be held on Friday, Aug 2, 6:30 p.m. and on Saturday, Aug 3, at 10:00 a.m. Save $10 and register by June 29. Synopsis:

Broadway Bound (ages 11-16)
Drama

Do you love musical theater and want to be on stage? Broadway Bound offers a fun and educational experience. Campers will be staging the full musical, Finding Nemo Jr. in just one week! We will focus on acting, singing and basic choreography (no experience necessary). Following the week of scene study and training, share your skills with a free performance for the community. Bring a water bottle, snack and a bag lunch each day. Camp is located at Eastview High School, 6200 140th St W, Apple Valley, MN 55124. Greg Douma, Kari Douma, and Carrie Kuehl are District 196 teachers and collaboratively created the Broadway Bound musical theater camp curriculum. In 2006, Greg founded the Allegro Choral Academy as a way to offer children in the community a vibrant outlet for their musical gift.

VocalMotion Performing Arts Camp (grades 3-5)
High School Theater

Work with Rosemount High School Performing Arts teachers! Learn the art of vocal performance and dance, and develop skills in three major areas. Each day of camp includes activity sessions in all areas: Voice and Vocal Performance Learn to work as a soloist and ensemble in group performance, focusing on pitch, posture, facial expression, physicality and other vocal skills. Dance and Movement Through movement games and exercises learn to express yourself through dance. Focus on technique, rhythmic acuity and stage presence. Music and Dance Presentation/Improvisation Work together on a musical and dance presentation. Sections will also include opportunities for dramatic improvisation. Registration grade level is for the 2024-2025 school year. (Current grade 3-5 or 4-6 next year)
