District 196 Community Education

Combine engineering and alternative energy (solar, hydro and wind)! Build cars, cranes, drawbridges, etc. from LEGO® kits and operate them using alternative energy sources. Work in teams and experiment with wind, water and solar panels. Projects include waterwheel, windmill, Ferris wheel and solar car. Achieve an understanding of how energy is developed from sun, wind and water. Solar energy will be captured by the LEGO® Solar Cell and used to power your model. Design and create a test car to compete against friends on the last day.
