KEYNOTE MESSAGE “Tales of a Troublemaker” by Mike Wohnoutka

  • Mike Wohnoutka was a troublemaker when he was in grade school (principals still make him nervous). Fortunately, he had wonderful teachers, from Head Start through High School, that nurtured his love for drawing. Mike will share stories of his childhood that lead him to a career in creating children’s books and talk about some of the ups and downs of navigating the publishing business. He will also go through the writing and illustration process, from his initial sketches through the final paintings, of his latest books: “Croc & Turtle” and “So Big”
